It started with a shirt on my favorite show, Entourage. Vince, (Adrian Grenier) wore a killer orange button down on an episode of Entourage, and I thought it looked great. I was living in the Hollywood foothills at the time, so I made several trips to Fred Segal, and all my favorite shops on Melrose, hoping to find something similar. No luck. I tried searching online, but alas, I couldn’t find it. A few months later, while watching an Indy Race, one of the drivers had a great pair of sunglasses that I wanted, but I couldn’t see a logo on it, so I began my search again, trying to find out if he was sponsored by a Sunglass company. I didn’t have any luck until I saw another interview with him a month later, and he turned to the side, revealing the logo. I went to the manufacturer’s website, and after searching through every style they make, I finally found what I was looking for. I’ve since seen many things on TV and film, and it finally dawned on me that I could build a site designed to make it easier to not only find the sought after apparel, but also provide some good deals in the process, letting members post items that look similar, or where the best deal is.
